I founded Insight Realty Group in July of 1998 about 35 years after my parents emigrated here from Europe. My father is from Ireland and my mother is from Austria. I realized at a very young age the value of hard work from my parents who wanted a better life for their family. The lessons I learned are a guiding principle for my vision and passion for Insight Realty Group.

My real estate career began at the young age of twenty years old while studying at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. In 1993, I was awarded an internship at North Atlantic Real Estate Appraising and Consulting. While learning the real estate trade from North Atlantic’s Principals, I developed a special talent for the critical analysis and complex valuation of real estate. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, I decided to forgo a career in law and started working as both a real estate appraiser and salesperson. At the age of twenty-one, I was hired by Appraisals Unlimited in Brookline as an independent fee appraiser and also started working for Coldwell Banker as a real estate salesperson. Merging both the real estate brokerage and appraisals fields together, I became one of Coldwell Banker’s top tier agents winning numerous sales awards while simultaneously developing into Appraisal Unlimited’s top producing appraiser. By 1998, I was ready to open my own company and later that year formed Insight Realty Group, Inc (a full-service real estate brokerage firm).

Since 1993, I have sold and appraised over 3,000 properties with a value of over half a billion dollars. I was ranked by Boston Magazine as a top ten power broker in all of Boston.

For the 2020 year-end, Insight Realty Group was ranked the #1 office for total sales, listings taken, the number of units sold, and total dollar volume in the entire Roslindale & West Roxbury market! We sold more than $100,000,000 in the Parkway area for 2020!

I began my career in real estate working for a prominent real estate brokerage firm in a regional marketing position. It was there that I began specializing in producing campaigns for new construction developments. I was working on sales strategies for these types of projects when I decided to leave and help establish Insight Realty Group. Insight Realty Group is a thriving independent brokerage firm today, and has consistently ranked among the top firms for new construction sales in Greater Boston since it’s inception. Our office is small compared to some franchises, but we have the highest per agent production level of any firm in Boston.

I have always had a thirst for knowledge, even trained and worked as an appraiser for a period to polish my property pricing skills. I undertook the process of converting to mortgage broker, from lender, to gain the best understanding possible of the changing environment that affects the many aspects of this industry. I have a solid 17 plus years in the industry and a unique well rounded knowledge not common in many of my colleagues. I enjoy the entrepreneurial aspects of the industry where I am directly rewarded for my work. My business is based entirely on referrals and it continues to grow as a result of my achievements.

As rewarding as the career can be financially, I am also heavily involved in making that “greater contribution”. I have worked with organizations which include: Boston Medical Center as chair and organizer for events that benefit their Cancer Care Center, Guiding Eyes for the Blind as a puppy raiser, Harbor to the Bay as both a fundraising cyclist and marketing support, and 15 to 40 Connection as a speaker and panelist on their website. Rewards come in many different varieties in life, and some of the moments in these endeavors have been my most treasured memories.
